Police determined that the shooting started out as an argument inside of PJ Ryan’s Pub.

PHOENIXVILLE, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — A man is in the hospital after a shooting on Bridge Street in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
It happened just after midnight on the 200 block of Bridge Street just steps from the historical Colonial Theater.
Officers responding to the scene were met with bystanders surrounding a man lying on the street suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police identified the victim as a 25-year-old man from Quakertown. He was shot one time in the hip and was taken to Phoenixville Hospital. Due to the severity of his injury, he was then transferred to the Paoli Hospital trauma center where he is listed in critical condition.
Witnesses told police that the suspect fled the scene.
A short time after the shooting, the shooting suspect called 911 and turned himself in. The suspect was identified as 26-year-old Savelen Frazier-Sallad of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.
Police met Frazier-Sallad on the 200 block of Church Street where he was taken into custody without incident. Police recovered his weapon.
Investigators reviewed surveillance and cell phone video to determine what led to the shooting.
It was determined that the shooting started out as an argument inside of PJ Ryan’s Pub located at 233 Bridge Street.
Both Frazier-Sallad and the shooting victim were ejected from the bar by staff after a fight broke out. As they were walking outside, video captures Frazier-Sallad pull out his gun and shoot the 25-year-old victim.
Frazier-Sallad was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and related offenses. He was taken to Chester County Prison for arraignment early Saturday morning.
The Phoenixville Police Department was assisted by East Pikeland Township and Schuylkill Township police departments in the investigation.
