June Helen (née Konrad) Coles passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, with her loving family at her side.
June was born in Yonkers, NY, to the late William F. Konrad and Irma (née Haus) Christiansen. She had resided in Cranford before moving to Sea Girt 37 years ago.
June was a graduate of the Parsons School of Design and McConnells School of Upholstery and Design. She was an active and honorary member of the Manasquan River Group Of Artists. She painted oils, but is renowned for her vibrant watercolor scenes of the shore area. June’s art work can be viewed at local gallery ‘Jersey Shore Moments’ in Manasquan. She was a dedicated member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, Spring Lake.
June was predeceased by her beloved husband John R. Coles on September 28, 2016.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, Gary and Janice Coles of Spring Lake
Heights, and Debra and Gary Herbster of Brick, her grandchildren, Christopher and wife Sara, Gregory and wife Kristina, Taylor, and Kimberly Coles. Four loving great grandchildren, Emma, Kennedy, Lilli and Bodey.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, October 2, 2023 from 9:30am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00am in St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 907 4th Ave., Spring Lake, NJ 07762. Cremation will be private at the convenience of the family. No flowers accepted, the family specifically requests a donation be made to St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in memory of June.
