Parents facing charges after police say 3-month-old boy was abused in Butler County home
Destiny Grace Valimont, 20, and Dustin Snyder, 31, both of Parker, are being held in the Butler County Prison
THAT LITTLE BOY IS HERE AT CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL WHERE HE WAS FLOWN, POLICE SAY, WITH INJURIES TO HIS FACE, LEGS AND RIBS. AND INVESTIGATORS SAY THEY WERE INFLICTED DELIBERATELY BY HIS MOM. THIS IS 20 YEAR OLD DESTINY VALLIMONT. POLICE SAY SHE ADMITTED THAT SHE HURT HER THREE MONTH OLD SON BECAUSE SHE WAS ANGRY THAT HE WAS FUSSY. POLICE SAY IT HAPPENED HERE IN THE FAMILY’S VENANGO TOWNSHIP HOME. ACCORDING TO INVESTIGATORS, VALLIMONT CONFESSED THAT SHE FORCEFULLY PUSHED ON HER INFANT’S LEG AND HEARD IT CRACK. HOW YOU COULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO A BABY? I DON’T KNOW. THIS MAN WAS STUNNED BY THE CHARGES, BUT DID NOT WANT TO SHARE HIS NAME. HE WORKS ON THE PROPERTY NEXT DOOR. I HEARD HE WENT TO THE HOSPITAL, HAD SOME OLD INJURIES AND NEW INJURIES. ACCORDING TO COURT PAPERS, THE LITTLE BOY SUFFERED A RIGHT FEMUR FRACTURE, A TIBIA FRACTURE TO THE RIGHT LEG AND TWO LEFT RIB FRACTURES. AND INVESTIGATORS SAY BOTH RIB FRACTURES ARE REPORTED TO BE IN SEPARATE STAGES OF THE HEALING PROCESS. POLICE SAY THE MOST RECENT INJURY HAPPENED HERE ON SEPTEMBER 15TH, BUT THEY SAY THE BOY WASN’T TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL FOR TWO DAYS. ACCORDING TO COURT PAPERS, WHEN ASKED WHY THE BOY’S DAD, DUSTIN SNIDER, REPLIED, I DRANK A BEER AND DIDN’T WANT TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND BE QUESTIONED, ADDING, I WANTED TO SEE IF IT WOULD HEAL. POLICE SAY WHEN THE BOY’S PARENTS FINALLY BROUGHT HIM TO GROVE CITY HOSPITAL, DOCTORS REALIZED THE THREE MONTH OLD’S INJURIES WERE SO SEVERE THEY HAD HIM FLOWN TO CHILDREN’S. WHILE POLICE SAY THE THREE MONTH OLD IS RECOVERING FROM HIS INJURIES HERE AT CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, HIS MOTHER, DESTINY VALLIMONT, IS IN THE BUTLER COUNTY JAIL CHARGED WITH SEVERAL COUNTS OF AGGRAVATED ASSAULT. POLICE SAY HIS FATHER, DUSTIN SNIDER, WILL FACE CHARGES, TOO,
