LOWER MERION – The Wynnewood Shopping Center will be getting a new restaurant after the new year.
PJ Whelihan’s, a growing chain of sports bars, will move into a 7,673-square-foot location formerly held by a Mad Mex restaurant. The Mad Mex closed in early 2020.
The PJ Whelihan’s is expected to open in late spring 2024. This will be Federal Realty’s second location in their Greater Philadelphia portfolio. Federal Realty owns the Wynnewood Shopping Center.
This PJ Whelihan’s is the second location at a Federal Realty-owned property. The first one opened at Lawrence Park Shopping Center.
“I couldn’t be more excited about our newest venture on the Main Line in Wynnewood, PA., PJ Whelihan’s CEO Jim Fris said. “PJ Whelihan’s is the ultimate destination for catching the game, enjoying happy hour, unwinding late night, and everything in between. We look forward to creating unforgettable memories at the heart of Wynnewood’s dining and entertainment scene.”
