Mark Joseph Sharin, Sr., 66 of Point Pleasant passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at his home surrounded by his large loving family.
Mark was a long-time resident of Belmar before moving to Manasquan, and eventually Point Pleasant 24 years ago. After graduation from Brookdale Community College, Mark went on to hold several careers including: Founding M&N Supply, as well as Sales, Safety Inspection, and Safety Consulting for companies including: Stavola Paving, American Bridge Company, and Graham Company, all where he made lifelong friends. Mark was a skilled craftsman and woodworker, who could always be found tinkering in his garage, and never shied away from a DIY task. He was also an avid fisherman whose love for boats and the ocean was only surpassed by his love for his family and dear friends. Mark, along with many of his family members, are proud members of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh, Belmar.
Mark was predeceased by his beloved parents Matthew J. and Margaret (née Nolan) Sharin.
He is survived by his devoted wife, of 38 loving years, Georgene ‘Gigi’ (née Gallagher) Sharin, his daughter Nicole Ward and husband Stephen, his son Mark J. Sharin Jr. and wife Kelly, and his four grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Eric, Nola, Graham and Niall, his brothers Matthew Sharin and wife Wendy, Michael Sharin and wife Meredith, his sister Patricia M. Sharin, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00pm to 7:00 pm followed by a Funeral Service on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. Interment will be in the Sharin family plot in St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Sea Girt.
