MONTGOMERY – Township police are continuing their investigation into a fatal car crash early Friday afternoon on Belle Mead-Griggstown Road.
Police have not released the identity of the victim.
At about 1:46 p.m. Friday, police responded on a report of a crash at the Pike Brook bridge on the road and found a black 2004 Lexus partially submerged in the water.
Officers went into the book and found the unconscious driver trapped in the car, police said.
With the assistance of Montgomery EMS 47 and Montgomery Vol Fire Co 1, police were able to pull the driver out of the car.

Paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and Montgomery EMS took the driver to the hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
