Linda L. (née Heyniger) Redman, 80, of Manasquan, passed away peacefully at her home. Linda was born and raised in Spring Lake, NJ, and was a graduate of Manasquan High School. After high school Linda married Thomas Redman and they resided in Brielle for a few years before building their family home in Manasquan where she and her husband raised their family. Linda was a paraprofessional for over 45 years at Allenwood Elementary School, where she made lifelong friends, and she cherished her relationships with the children who attended school over the years. She worked in the summers for over 30 years as a member of the Manasquan Beach Patrol, and badge clerk at Whiting Beach which was affectionately known as Linda’s Beach. Linda thoroughly enjoyed attending many social events with her husband throughout the years.
Linda was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Thomas Redman in 2018, her parents Austin and Gladys Heyniger, and her brother Douglas Heyniger. She is survived by her loving daughters, Christine Waldeyer and her husband Robert of Manasquan, and Corinne Redman of Brick. Linda was the cherished grandmother of Joseph, Jessica, and Jonathan. She will be missed by her cat Jack and her grand-dogs Milo and Otis.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, August 21, 2023, from 4-7 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan, NJ, with a funeral service Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Glendola Cemetery, Wall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724.
