David John DiBernardo, 67, of Sea Girt passed away unexpectedly on July 17th at his home.
David was born and raised in Yonkers and resided in the Sea Girt area for the past 36 years. He was retired, but worked in the cosmetic packaging industry, and most recently at Princeton Porsche. He loved sitting at the beach in ‘Giuseppe’ with his favorite sandwich and chatting with anyone who passed by. He was passionate about his NY Giants, NY Rangers, and the Gamecocks, along with classic cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed time outdoors kayaking and gardening, trimming neighbors’ shrubs however he saw fit. He had a love for music and playing the drums. His favorite memories were made during trips to Vermont and Wrightsville Beach, ordering the fish burrito and giant Sol at T7 the minute he arrived.
He was a former member of the Cosmetic Industry Buyers and Suppliers (CIBS) and had attended the First Presbyterian Church of Manasquan.
David is survived by his wife Katy (née Gorham) and his daughters Kelsey and Hannah, and his sister Nanci, along with his extended family – Krislee, Hal, Alexx and Charlie Hall; Cort, Rebecca and Hudson Gorham; Andrea, Richard, Baylee, Brewster and Robyn Cherkis; and his cherished friends at the Jersey Shore. He was predeceased by his parents John and Frances DiBernardo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 3:00pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 5:30pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall, NJ 07719.
