NJM gives grant to NJAC Foundation to help county vo-tech graduates

NJM Insurance Group has awarded the New Jersey Association of Counties Foundation a grant of $5,250 for county vocational-technical school graduates who plan on continuing their education in New Jersey at a county college or state college or university.

NJAC Foundation President Heather Simmons said the group has plans to distribute one $1,750 scholarship in each county where NJM maintains a corporate office, which includes Atlantic, Mercer and Morris counties.

Since 2014, NJM has awarded the NJAC Foundation grants totaling $52,250, which has helped well over two dozen county vocational-technical school graduates continue their education at home in the Garden State.

Simmons said the grants have impact.

“I’m grateful that NJM and the NJAC Foundation have once again partnered on this important and timely initiative to provide our county vocational-technical school graduates with generous scholarships that will assist students with meeting the ever-increasing financial demands of pursuing an education,” she said.
