On Saturday, June 10th the Kennedy Memorial Gazebo was dedicated to those military who serve our country who died in non-combat training and exercises.
The memorial gazebo, located at the Medal of Honor Grove located on the outskirts of Valley Forge National Park, was spearheaded by the Kennedy family of Malvern to honor their family member Captain Brian T. Kennedy of the United States Marine Corp. Captain Kennedy was killed along with 11 other Marines in a flying training exercise on January 14th 2016, off the coast of Oahu, Hawaii.
The memorial at the Medal of Honor Grove is to honor those in the military who gave the ultimate sacrifice training to defend our country. Hundreds have died over the years while training — including the more than 900 military men and women who died in the training for the D-Day operation.
Mark Ryan, a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians (AOH) Notre Dame Notre Dame Division is the Chairman of the Medal of Honor Grove and he invited everyone to stop by the grove and see the improvements that have been made to honor all our military who served our country.
