4 people shot on Lowry Avenue

WELL, JENNY, MIKE, LIKE YOU SAID, WE’RE ABLE TO CONFIRM THAT ONE PERSON HAS DIED. WESTMORELAND COUNTY 911 TELLS US THAT FOUR AT LEAST FOUR OTHERS WERE HURT. I’LL TAKE A LOOK AT THIS SCENE. THIS IS IN THE 800 BLOCK OF LOWRY AVENUE IN JEANNETTE. WE’RE GOING TO ZOOM IN TO THIS DOOR HERE WITH CAUTION TAPE STRETCHED ACROSS IT. WE’VE SEEN STATE POLICE OFFICERS AND OTHER INVESTIGATORS COMING IN AND OUT OF THAT DOOR. IT’S UNCLEAR EXACTLY THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THAT BUILDING THERE, THAT DOOR AND THIS SHOOTING. BUT I CAN TELL YOU THAT THAT SHOOTING SCENE IS CENTERED RIGHT HERE IN THIS 800 BLOCK. NOW, WE KNOW THAT AT LEAST THREE OF THOSE SHOOTING VICTIMS WERE TRANSPORTED BY GROUND TO FORBES HOSPITAL. WE ALSO LEARNED SHORTLY AFTER THAT THAT ANOTHER PERSON, THAT FIFTH PERSON WALKED INTO AND HEMPFIELD AND THEN WAS FLOWN TO A PITTSBURGH HOSPITAL. SO, AGAIN, STILL GATHERING INFORMATION ON SCENE HERE. OF COURSE, STATE POLICE VERY HEAVY PRESENCE FROM THEM, AS WELL AS OTHER LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES AND, OF COURSE, FIRST RESPONDERS HERE. WE KNOW THAT THE CORONER’S OFFICE IS ON THEIR WAY HERE BECAUSE OF ONE PERSON THAT WAS SHOT AND KILLED. WE’LL KEEP YOU UPDATED AS WE GET ANY MORE NEW INFORMATION.
