I feel like I finally got my groove back after being away for a week. I had a nice time in Florida and now I see summer is a season to reset. Both my teens are living in our house this summer so I get to spend more time with them and I have no vacation plans other than little excursions around my local town. I spent most of last summer in Florida and have taken a few wonderful trips in recent months, but now it’s time to enjoy being at home June through August.
So far things are going well at my new art shop, I sold five of my ceramic pieces over the weekend in addition to a few art prints, that was lovely. I have my focus on a few projects around our house, we’re updating the kitchen with some open shelving and replacing the countertops to give it a refresh. I’m helping my daughter organize her room and get ready to move to Santa Barbara for her next year of school. The landscaping and courtyard also need some updating so I’m working on that as well. It feels good to have a few months to focus on those spaces and spend periods of time relaxing before the busyness of autumn arrives.
