Maggie Drodz-Dowski, 15, was surfing over the weekend off Stone Harbor when she got several cuts on her foot, which officials said were consistent with a shark bite.”It didn’t hurt, but I felt pressure and all the teeth around the bottom of my foot. Like, my whole foot was in its mouth,” she said. “I heard her scream, and she was like under the water. And then, I thought she was drowning, and then she came back up, saying she got bit or something bit her,” her friend, Sarah O’Donnell, said.There were no lifeguards on duty, but Drodz-Dowski was able to get back to shore, where her friend’s mom called 911.New Jersey officials said they’re not putting any beach restrictions in place ahead of Memorial Day weekend.
