William ‘Bill’ Robert Brady, 88, of Brielle and St Thomas, USVI, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. He was born in Newark, NJ on July 30, 1934 to Thomas and Eileen and was raised in East Orange before moving and raising his family in Brielle.
Bill was a graduate of East Orange H.S., Lehigh University (BS) and Seton Hall University (MBA). Before starting his career as a Metallurgical Engineer, Bill honorably served in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany.
Bill was a diehard NY Giants fan, where he was a season ticket holder for over 60 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a 25-year member of the Manasquan River Golf Club. Bill’s true love was spending time with his family. You could find him sipping margaritas at his favorite bar in St Thomas, enjoying dinners at his go-to restaurants or on the sidelines of hundreds of games where he watched and cheered on his children and later his grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents, his brothers John and Ronald, his niece Carlie and sister-in-law, Carlyle.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 59 years Susan F. Brady, his loving children, Kathleen Heher, Michael (Margarita) Brady and Meghan (John) Saxton. He cherished his eight grandchildren, Brady, Madison, Keegan & Logan Heher, Sean & Ryan Saxton, Jamie & Justin Brady and his extended family and friends.
A Memorial Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm with a service being held at 6pm at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35, Wall, NJ 07719.
