Stanley T. Sowa, 79, of Neptune, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 6, 2023, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune with his loving family by his side. Stanley was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He was a graduate of Loyola University, class of 1967. He moved to New Jersey in 1969 to attend school to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Stanley’s career spanned over fifty years when he retired in 2020. He enjoyed playing cards and feeding wild birds in the backyard by hand.
Stanley was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Virginia Sowa, and his daughter Robyn Sowa. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years Nadine (née Gilmore) Sowa of Neptune, his loving children Cheryl Kingman and her husband Thomas of Wall, and Deborah Sowa and her wife Susan Murray of Yonkers, NY. Stanley was the cherished grandfather to Abigail, Stanley, Gregory, and Eva.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday May 11, 2023, from 4-8 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101, or Monmouth County SPCA 260 Wall Street Eatontown NJ 07724.
