Westport land once belonging to disgraced movie producer Harvey Weinstein was listed for sale in early April.
Weinstein, once a powerful Hollywood film mogul, is serving 23 years in prison in New York for rape and sexual assault. He was also sentenced to 16 years in prison for sexual assault and rape in Los Angeles. Weinstein was exposed as a sexual predator in 2017, helping spawn the #METOO movement.
The 3.03-acre lot at 26 Beachside Ave. was listed for $11 million, while the adjoining 2.63-acre lot at 28 Beachside Ave. was listed for $10 million. The land, which has beach access and distant views of the Manhattan skyline, is being brokered by the Higgins Group Real Estate.
Weinstein first purchased his home in Westport in 1994 with his first wife, Eve Chilton. The lot at 28 Beachside Ave. was purchased by Weinstein in 2000 for $4 million, and was kept as an open lot.
