She left the house to meet someone and was expected to return but never did.In March, Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 reached out to Pittsburgh police, who told us Allegheny County Police are handling the “active” investigation. Allegheny County Police are handling the investigation. They describe the investigation as “ongoing.” “It makes me feel upset,” explained Kaylene’s father, Jason Oehling. “But I did personally talk to the county police and they did assure me that the ruling was actually something they expected… hopefully we start getting answers soon.” Monday’s report from the medical examiner comes just days after Kaylene’s family laid her to rest in a private service over the weekend. “It’s just so frustrating knowing that I just on Saturday, I just wanted to curl in the casket with her,” said Jason Oehling. “I just, I just wanted to go with her. Everything is just so frustrating.” Family members tell Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that Oehling did not have any connections to the area where her body was found. In the meantime, Jason Oehling is refusing to give hope. He is also hoping to help other families dealing with the same thing. “I am trying to help myself cope by trying to help others in other missing person cases while still pushing for justice for Kaylene,” said Jason Oehling. “There are so many cases, just like Kaylene’s, like the case of Tonee Turner. We all deserve answers.”
