Theft – On April 22, at approximately 7:25 a.m., someone stole the used cooking oil from the rear of three businesses in the 800 block of East Lancaster Avenue.
Security video showed a male and female operating a white panel van removing the used cooking oil from the rear of Campus Corner, Wingers, and Novagrill.
Used cooking oil theft is becoming an increasing problem. It’s sold to refiners and turned into biofuels and other products.
Theft of a Wallet – On Thursday, April 20, at approximately 1:50 p.m., the complainant reported their wallet was stolen while they were at the Chipotle Restaurant, 323 East Lancaster Avenue. The victim reported she left the restaurant and soon realized she had left her pocketbook on at her seat. When she returned to retrieve her purse, she discovered the wallet was missing.
Retail Theft – On Saturday, April 22, at approximately 6:01 p.m., the staff at the Wine and Spirits Store, 127 West Lancaster Avenue, reported a retail theft had just occurred. Staff told police that a male exited the store without paying for a bottle of liquor.
Theft of Motor Vehicle – On Sunday, April 23, at approximately 9:46 a.m., a resident on the 500 block of Chaumont Drive witnessed their vehicle stolen from their driveway.
The resident observed a male wearing black pants and a white thermal shirt walk up their driveway and enter their Mercedes. The vehicle began to back out of the drive and was driven away. The keys were left in the vehicle.
Retail Theft – On Monday, April 24, store security at the T.J. Maxx, 550 East Lancaster Avenue, reported a retail theft that occurred a day earlier on April 23.
Video surveillance shows two females entering the store, placing many items into bags, and exiting the store without making payment.
Retail Theft – On April 25, security from the T.J. Maxx Store, located at 550 East Lancaster Avenue, reported a retail theft that had occurred on Monday, April 24. Security said five actors, two males and three females, were observed placing approximately 57 items into their shopping carts.
All five fled the store without making payment. The total value of the theft was approximately $1,269.45.
