A new Italian street-food restaurant has opened in Parsippany, offering classic fare like Pizzetta Montanara (fried pizza), Olive All’asconala (fried green olives stuffed with meat) and Suppli alla Romana (fried rice croquettes). Several hot and cold sandwiches are also available, such as the Spaccanapoli (focaccia bread loaded with layers of prosciutto di Parma, mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, olive oil and balsamic). Owner Josephina Spinosa, who was born in Naples, Italy, grew up working in his family’s pizzeria in Pennsylvania.
