Hello friends! Today I’m back in California after a long flight home, thankfully it was a nonstop from Istanbul to San Francisco, but still it took 13 hours! I’m tired so to recover from jet lag I’m resting today to acclimate to my California time zone again.
I had the most interesting adventure, I’ll share pictures and stories in the weeks to come. I packed very light this time, I posted last week all the things I bring with me on board to make international flights more comfortable.
In addition to my travel essentials I brought a few patterned dresses, I link to them below. I prefer cotton shift or midi dresses that don’t grab too tight and move with me since I walk for miles everyday.
floral maxi dress, balcony in Istanbul
More spring favorites from this season that I love, perfect for upcoming adventures or outings.
plaid midi / red floral ruffle
cotton floral / green puff sleeve
pleated dress / orchard floral
blue paisley halter / black floral tunic
oranges dress / bamboo smocked
yellow boho floral / dakota maxi
multicolor mini / green floral midi
I traveled to conservative countries on this trip, Malta and Istanbul, Turkey, so I planned on clothing that would cover my shoulders when I stepped into churches or mosques. In addition to clothes I already had, these are the dresses and accessories I brought on this trip, I kept the palette to mostly blue and blush this time:
blue cropped cardigan / bucket hat / blossom earrings / sleeveless tiered floral dress
floral maxi dress / short sleeve blue floral / blue embroidered shift dress
light blue canvas sneakers / wine leather crossbody
One of my tricks for being able to walk all day in a dress or skirt and avoid chafing is to either wear lightweight biker shorts underneath my dress, or use athlete’s anti chafe body glide. Both work great when you plan on taking thousands of steps in a day!
