The Phillies’ wait to raise a pennant will extend another day. Thank Mother Nature for that.
The threat of rain, wind, lightning (and hopefully not another doom of a night) was enough Wednesday for the Phillies to postpone their scheduled home opener one day. The club announced its first home game will take place Friday in a 3:05 start against against the Cincinnati Reds.
The Opening Day festivities, presented by Nemours Children’s Health, include a giveaway 2022 National League pennant to all fans.
Gates open at 12:35 and all tickets and parking will be valid for admission. Pre-game ceremonies will begin around 2:15.
