The New Jersey Bankers Association on Thursday announced that Craig Montanaro was appointed as second vice chair of its board of directors.
Montanaro joined Kearny Bank in 2003 and was appointed CEO and president in April 2011. He also serves as president and board member for the KearnyBank Foundation.
Additionally, Montanaro serves as chair of the Chilton Hospital Foundation, New Jersey Junior Achievement state board member and as a trustee of the Wood-Ridge Memorial Foundation.
“Having someone with Craig’s experience serving in a leadership role will elevate our efforts and ability to accomplish many of the goals we’ve set for the organization,” Michael Affuso, CEO and president of NJ Bankers said.
“I take great pride in being a banker, so, I very much appreciate this opportunity to assume a leadership role on the New Jersey Bankers Association board,” Montanaro said. “This organization has a long history of effective advocacy on behalf of our state’s banking sector, and I’m eager to support this mission as a representative of Kearny Bank and our clients.”
