Each April, the U.S. Department of Justice celebrates Second Chance Month, recognizing the importance of helping individuals, communities, and agencies across the Country appreciate their role in supporting the safe and successful reentry of millions of people returning from incarceration each year.
To support this effort, the Montgomery County Clerk of Courts, Lori Schreiber, will be hosting a Second Chance Month Resource Fair on April 14, 2023, from 10 am to noon at the Human Services Center, 1430 DeKalb St., Norristown. This event will bring together government and community-based service providers to help individuals who have paid their debt to society to regain voting rights and find housing, employment, education, volunteer opportunities, and more! All of this goes a long way to reduce stigma, the barriers to success, and the likelihood of them returning to prison.
Thank you to all of the providers participating!
