When we started the Canadian Condo Project, our goal was to create a design aesthetic with products from exclusively Canadian companies. Our first question was obvious: “Where are we going to get a mattress from?” Endy, a Canadian mattress company, quickly stepped up to the plate and offered us not only a mattress and two pillows but the bedframe and headboard as well.
Our Endy Mattress Experience
From start to finish, Endy has been exemplary of what a great Canadian company is. They are friendly, efficient, and always helpful to ensure they deliver an amazing customer experience. Here is my experience with Endy and how this new bed setup compares to my old one. We hope this helps you decide if an Endy mattress should be in your future.
Sleep Quality
Let’s start with the big question: How did I sleep? I slept better than I have in the last year. I’ve tested out different styles of beds this past year, and I am happy to say that Endy has given me the best sleep experience ever.
It supports my body the way I expect a full mattress should, and my back problems and shoulder problems disappeared after the first night. This makes me wonder how long these back pains have been due to a bad mattress.
The mattress supports me, and this is more of a firmer mattress than some of the other foam mattresses I tried, which I enjoy immensely.
As a side sleeper, I felt supported, and the pillow was at exactly the right height to support my head. You can tell Endy has put a lot of research into making sure that no matter what type of sleeper you are, you can get a good sleep.
This year one of my big things is getting the right amount of sleep, and this Endy bed and mattress are definitely helping the cause. I’m a month into it, and I can honestly say it’s been the best sleep experience I’ve had.
Getting the Endy Foam Mattress and Bed Set Up
One of the things I like the most about this is how simple and streamlined Endy kept the setup process. The Endy mattress comes in a box and is easy to assemble. You simply open the box and allow the bed to expand. Endy makes a point of ensuring that anyone can get this mattress set up quickly and easily.
What I liked the most about this bed in a box is that you can use it immediately. There’s no 24-hour waiting period, exactly what you want from a new mattress when moving into a new place
The Endy Mattress
When you are looking at getting a new foam mattress, there are a few things you should consider. It doesn’t matter whether you are a side sleeper, stomach sleeper, or back sleeper (I’m the group of side sleepers and back sleepers myself). One consideration is heat transfer.
Endy’s proprietary Comfort Foam is designed to be breathable, so it doesn’t retain your body heat the way traditional memory foam mattresses do (this was the case for me with my last mattress). The Endy mattress kept me cool enough at night to get a night of optimal sleep; I found it was perfect temperature-wise.
Another common complaint about foam mattresses is that they can be a little too soft; this was not the case with Endy. I found the mattress to be firm enough to support me but soft enough to help with my spinal alignment. I like how this mattress doesn’t lose firmness with temperature changes too.
There are several aspects of the Endy mattress you should know about. The first is the Endy Comfort Foam, which allows air to flow through while cradling you so that you feel supported but don’t feel like you are sinking into a marshmallow. If you have ever slept on a foam mattress that is 10 years old, you know what I mean and how important this is.
Next is a Transition Foam layer that eliminates motion transfer while at the same time helping with pressure relief. This is likely why my back felt so much better after just one night on this mattress. (The Endy Mattress is actually the only one approved by the Canadian Chiropractic Association, as it promotes quality of sleep and spinal alignment!)
The base of the mattress is the Support Foam. This is how Endy ensures firmness for years with its 15-year limited warranty. All three layers of foam are CERTRIPUS-US Certified (meaning they’re safe from VOCs, formaldehyde, and phthalates). The mattress is also GREENGUARD Gold Certified, meaning it meets rigorous standards for providing a healthier air quality inside your home.
Last is the Micro Quilted Cover, which is a soft and breathable cover on the mattress that is also machine washable.

One of the things that can be a concern when buying a mattress without trying it out is whether or not it’s a good fit. Endy overcomes this with their 100-night sleep trial. I love this because it shows that they are committed to ensuring their mattress is right for you. It also shows they place the customers’ needs as their priority.
Endy Mattress Sleeping Experience
There are a lot of things I like about sleeping on this mattress. The first thing is that it’s ready immediately out of the box. There are a lot of bed-in-a-box foam mattresses out there that require 24 to 72 hours of letting the mattress breathe and return to its original form.
With Endy, I did not have to do that. As soon as I unrolled the mattress, I could sleep on it. This is great when you are moving into a new place and have nowhere to sleep.
I’ve found that both sleeping positions have been super comfortable and enjoyable. Endy for the win on this one.
Cool Mattress With Minimal Motion Transfer
If you’re one of the many bad sleepers out there, you’re going to love this comfortable mattress. Previously, my last foam mattress was too hot and required a fan in the evenings to stay cool. However, the foam layers of this Endy mattress have kept my body at a nice cool temperature, which is better for sleeping overall.
Another thing I really liked about the Endy mattresses is there is no noticeable motion transfer. If you’re sleeping with someone who is a fidgeter, you’ll be amazed at how little you notice them in the bed.

Is an Endy Mattress Right For You?
The truth is, you spend a third of your life sleeping, and life is too short to rest on a mattress that doesn’t satisfy you or give you enough rest to enjoy the other two-thirds of your life.
I have tried other foam mattresses in the past that pale in comparison to the Endy mattress. This new mattress has quickly become my favourite mattress, and I love the Endy comfort foam support. I highly recommend it to anyone in Canada looking for a good night’s sleep. Make sure you get the pillows too, because they’re equally amazing (more on that below).
If you were a back sleeper and preferred a softer mattress, this may not be the right bed for you. But that was me, and now that I have slept on a firmer mattress, I’m a fan. At the very least, you can try it out and see if you like it for yourself.
Next: The Bed Frame
What I truly loved about their bed frame and headboard is how easy it is to set up. While doing it myself wasn’t recommended (they clearly state that it’s a two-person job), I could still do everything by myself in less than half an hour. Unboxing and all!
Not only does it look beautiful, but the slats are smartly rolled up and much easier than any other bed I’ve assembled. There were six steps in the bed frame and headboard assembly, and it was simple and easy to do. Things just locked into place. No tools are required (a bonus when you are moving and have no clue which box your screwdriver set is in.)
I would take this over any IKEA bed assembly any day. Plus, their video is super helpful for showing you what to do. It took me under 30 minutes to unbox and get the bed frame headboard and mattress set up.
Finally, Pillow Talk
Can we talk pillows for a second? For the last decade, I have been trying pillows left and right to try to find one that suits me.
And I have been left disappointed every. single. time.
So, needless to say, when I got the Endy mattress and pillows, I didn’t hold out much hope for the pillows.
I couldn’t be happier about how wrong I am. These pillows are incredible! They are soft pillows filled with shredded memory foam that support my head when I am side-sleeping or sleeping on my back (Note: I’m not much of a facedown sleeper, so it’s been a refreshing change). The shredded memory foam can be removed by the handful to adjust the pillow to your preferred firmness.
Another thing is that my TMJ has not been activated while sleeping with these pillows. That might be because I’m sleeping better and sleeping deeper because of the quality of these pillows.
Now that I’ve experienced what an amazing pillow can truly do, it will be hard to go back to anything else.
If you’ve been experiencing rough sleep, I strongly recommend getting one of these pillows and testing them out. I hope you’ll be as surprised as I am about the quality and comfort.
One last thing I liked about the Endy pillows was that if you found it too plush, they gave you a bag that you could put the extra pillow stuff in and use as a travel pillow. This attention to detail is just another thing I love about the company.
Final thoughts
Since sleeping on the proprietary Endy mattress, I feel more energetic and have been sleeping deeper. Because of this, I’ve had a mood improvement. It’s truly amazing what a higher quality of sleep can do for you.
This isn’t just opinion; I have been tracking it with my sleep app, so if you’re struggling with sleep, it may be time for a new mattress, and I can’t think of a better one to get than the Endy mattress.
