As a mother, I pride myself on two things: my Christmas stocking stuffing and my Easter basket filling. I wasn’t the best tooth fairy. And as much as I’ve tried, birthday party planning has just never been my thing. But I feel like I have a special talent for finding little gifty things. It’s the only momma superpower I have, and I know my kids would agree. Or at least they’d agree if I put them on the spot in front of an audience. ? Self-proclaimed or rightfully earned, does it really matter? I believe it’s my gift, and I truly live to be a Christmas Elf and the Easter Bunny! And even though my kids are now 18 and 16 I have no desire to hang up my ears. So in case you need some fun ideas, I rounded up a bunch of Easter basket goodies that any teen or tween would love!
But first a quick hop down memory lane. Sometimes I can’t believe my little kid days are behind me. My sweet babes are grown. Crazy how time flies! These are my two most treasured Easter photos. This one above is from 2013, the last time I tortured my kids with a visit to see the Easter Bunny. And below is a photo from 2020 when I forced my teenagers to get outside for a daily dose of vitamin D every day during the initial pandemic lockdown. When they say a picture is worth a thousand words……. ?
Now on to the goodies! Call me crazy, but I like to stick to a color scheme when I’m filling a basket. Too over the top? Maybe, but it sure does look cute! ? Obviously, I do add a little candy. I mean everyone loves a Reese’s egg!
For the girls…….
1. My 16-year-old girl loves fresh flowers but isn’t great about removing dead bouquets, so I thought adding a couple of bud vases to her basket would be fun (and hopefully easier for her to manage in her bedroom).
2. Taylor Swift Lover fans will adore this sweet necklace!
3. Olive & June now makes a quick dry polish! My girl loves their nail decals, and I think their polish remover is the best.
4. My girl is into huggies right now, and these hearts would go great with that Lover necklace.
5. These Birkenstock look-a-likes are great for the pool and beach.
6. This lace bow barrette is so pretty.
7. The travel sizes from Versed are perfect for basket fillers! My girl loves their cleansing balm and toner.
8. I keep an umbrella in my car. And now that my girl is driving, I feel like she needs one for her car too. This daisy one is so cute!
9. Portable charges are the only way my anxiety can handle kids that drive.
10. These Honest Beauty lipglosses are so great.
11. A tote bag comes in handy for so many things. Little Women is my girl’s favorite book, but there are a few different classic books from which to choose.
12. Couldn’t resist another Taylor-inspired item since my girl and I are such huge fans. How fun are these slippers?!
And for the boys……
1. My son loves gadgets, and I think he’d get a lot of use out of this solar-powered portable speaker this summer. It currently only has a 2 1/2 star rating, but it’s only $13.99 so I feel like it would be worth a try.
2. Sneaker balls #iykyk ?
3. If my son doesn’t like this magnetic leather sunglass holder for his car, I’ll gladly take it!
4. The perfect size cooler for the beach or pool.
5. Again, portable chargers are the only way I can handle my teens being out on their own. ?
6. What I love about Starbucks gift cards is that there is one for every season/celebration/event/occasion.
7. Swim trunks are always an easy basket add for a boy.
8. Vans sunglasses are so affordable!
9. The teens are bringing Crocs back; did you know? These slides would be great for the pool and beach.
10. These stick-on wallets are great for boys so they don’t have to carry a separate wallet.

When does one outgrow an Easter basket? Asking for a friend. Seriously though, am I the only mom filling an Easter basket for my 18-year-old college kid?
